Training

We provide specialised training and independently assessed, internationally recognised certification.

IRATA International’s rope access system is a safe method of working at height where ropes and associated equipment are used to gain access to and from the work position, and to be supported there.

Rope rescue is a division of technical rescue that involves the use of internationally certified rope and gears, high angle urban / structural / pit-head rescue, construction, building and confined space rescue, disaster, wilderness, road and river rescue. Rescue methods assure the safety of the rescuer to save lives in as short a time as possible.

Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is a testing and analysis technique used by industry to evaluate the properties of a material, component, structure or system for characteristic differences or welding defects and discontinuities without causing damage to the original part.

First aid is the first and immediate assistance given to any person suffering from either a minor or serious illness or injury, with care provided to preserve life, prevent the condition from worsening, or to promote recovery.

A Rigger is a skilled tradesperson who specialises in the assistance of a manual mechanical advantage device comprising of pulley, block and tackle or a motorised device such as a crane or derrick or chain hoists (chain fall) or capstan winch. We at AIG specialise in rigging and hauling in both small scale and large industrial capacities.

Welding is a fabrication process that joins materials, usually metals or thermoplastics, by using high heat to melt the parts together and allowing them to cool, causing fusion. Welding is distinct from lower temperature metal-joining techniques such as brazing and soldering, which do not melt the base metal.

Sand blasting is also known as abrasive blasting, which is a generic term for the process of smoothing, shaping and cleaning a hard surface by forcing solid particles across that surface at high speeds of air; the effect is similar to that of using power tools cleaning, but provides a more even finish with no problems at corners or crannies.

We offer training in industrial airless spray painting, operating to international safety standards on all Oil and Gas, Civil and Marine Industries.

Firefighting is the act of attempting to prevent the spread of and extinguish significant unwanted fires in buildings, vehicles, and woodlands. A firefighter suppresses fires to protect lives, property and the environment.

Health and Safety at Work Site is a multidisciplinary field concerned with the safety, health, and welfare of people at occupation.

A confined space may be difficult to enter and perform repair work, or general maintenance. If something goes wrong while you are inside a confined space, escape / rescue may be difficult. Just because a work area has more than one way of escape, does not necessarily mean it is not a confined space. If the space has limited ways to get in and out, it could be a confined space. A open top tank would have limited openings for entry and exit. AIG offers training to those who are looking to getting into these forms of work.

Work at Height means work in any place where, if there were no precautions in place, a person could fall a distance liable to cause personal injury (for example a fall through a fragile roof down an unprotected lift shaft, stairwells).

International assessors independently assess IRATA candidates at our venue.
